Overcoming Obstacles

In life we all encounter obstacles, obstacles can come in many forms. Sometimes the obstacle you face is fear, lack of resources or clarity, time or money. To every problem there is a solution. Although, it may not always be the solution you were expecting or desired.


As a life coach, my job is to help you find solutions that work for you, right here, in this season of your life. Oftentimes, we try to rush ahead rather than taking it one step and a time. Sometimes the answer is not always black and white, but requires a bit deeper digging. So let's dig and figure out your first step!


To help you start, I've created a sweet and simple template to help you problem solve and figure out that first step. Its not about getting everything done at once, but figuring out your next move.


What's My First Step?


  1. Identify the obstacle Put your pen to paper and ask yourself:

    - Am I in my own way?

    - What is stopping me from moving forward?

    -If I had what I needed at this exact moment, what would that look like for me?

    Clarity requires honesty and introspection.


  1. Examine the mindset Now it's time to go deeper, ask yourself:

    - Why do I think this way?

    - Where is this coming from and how can I shift my mindset?

    - What is one small practical step I can take today to reach my goal?

    Awareness is crucial.


  1. Take the step

    - This step may be the hardest, now that you've identified the obstacle and examined the mindset its all about taking the next step. No matter how little, count it as a win, because you are one step closer to acheiving your goal.
